My Linode was rebooted

28 01 2008

I don’t know what happened, but httpd and mysqld were stopped. I don’t want to babysit servers. I hope this isn’t going to be a problem with Linode.

Hey Aaron -

This is not the norm. You signed up for our Xen public beta, and your host crashed as reported here: http://www.linode.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=3068

We are constantly working to increase the stability of our Xen hosts. Please feel free to open a support ticket if we can do anything for you or if you have any questions.

Regards,
-Tom

Also, you may want to make sure all your required services automatically start on boot :)
